Sylen at Grøvelsjøen
Ryvang Gård is a private tourist hut in the isolated village of Sylen (no road connection) at Grøvelsjøen furthest east in Femundsmarka. The site is an excellent destination for day trips, and a super starting point for walks in Femundsmarka. For those of you in good physical shape, the trip can be combined with a trip up to Grøthogna (1401m) or Sylvola (1040m).
Walk in the footsteps of Carl von Linnès, the famous botanist from Sweden who rambled and did research in this area many years ago. Ryvang Gård is located 15 km from Svukuriset and 11 km from Valdalen and Hävlingen.
The most delicious waffles and coffee are for sale in the renovated and modernised barn at Ryvang Gård. (No meals served during winter season.) Between 30 June and 18 September, the vessel MF Syløra travels on Grøvelsjøen lake, and will take you straight to Ryvang.

Femundshytten Gård
![]() In 1973 Røros Kopperverk started the working of an melting hut on the west side of Femund. Femundshytten become a spirited centre in the wilderness with 11 farms and over 200 inhabitants. The melting hut was closed in 1822 when the access of forest and coal became bad.
By Femundshytten is there several cultural memmories like slagghills, farmmuseum and a playtown of stones that represents Røros in miniature. The city of trolls, that are made lately, is also a exciting walking for both young and old. You come to Femundshytten by taking the boat MS Fæmund II, or you can drive to Jonasvollen and walk or cycle the last 10 km. It is road, but that is closed by bar. Tel. +47 62 45 95 77, 62 45 92 16.

was a farmstead, it has lived people from 1875. The legendary Jo-Lars lived there at the end of 1800. From Haugen you can take the trip north, east or south in Femundsmarka.
